Tips and Trick for beauty in the summer heat!

During the summer months, there is no worse enemy than heat and humidity. You know those hot, sticky days where everything melts and your hair looks like it’s been soaked in water even though you just left the house looking all fresh and perfect? Well I do, and I say there has to be a solution for that! Read on to find out how you can prevent sticky hair and melting makeup.

PREVENT STICKY HAIR IN THE SUMMER

Your hair goes limp in the hot summer months, so avoid this by including a little something extra in your hair routine. Use an aerosol spray on your roots before heading out the door. This will ensure your hair holds up and give it a little volume. You can also use hair powder so you soak up any excess moisture. Another trick you can use is to dab your neck with toner so you eliminate the oil and moisture that builds up around the area. For frizzy hair, make sure you always use a hair serum or any anti-frizz product; they DO work!

MELTING MAKEUP

We all this problem: you put your makeup on in the morning, but by the afternoon, it’s all gone. It’s like a magic trick! Have an oil blotter at your fingertips to absorb the sweat, without ruining your makeup. Use makeup primer instead of lotion on your face, as this will absorb any oil and make sure to add a little extra on trouble spots such as your nose, chin and forehead. Always apply a powder after you put on your foundation. This will ensure that your makeup stays on a little longer all the while sucking up the excess oil. And of course the number one rule is to go easy on the products; keep it light and simple and you should have no problems!

Summer is fleeting and prices are rising, which means that this year shoppers need to get more glow for the money by choosing beauty products that not only work well in hot weather but can bridge the gap into fall. Here are nine popular picks that have the power of transition

Trend saving ideas

You already know about clipping coupons and waiting for sales. But there are even more ways to stretch your clothing dollar.

1. Reversable Clothing

Reversible clothing gained popularity with vacationers for its two-outfits-in-one versatility. But you can also use reversible clothing to save money on everyday clothes. Look for everything from swimwear to dresses that have two different sides (often one's a solid, the other's a print) to double the outfit's wearability.

2. Seasonless clothing

One of the biggest money savers is opting for clothing you can wear year-round. Although cut (sleeves, no sleeves) will dictate how many seasons you can wear an item, fabric is your biggest determining factor. Although natural fibers fare best in temperature extremes -- hot or cold -- jersey and other knits work just fine for most seasons.

3. Trading Down:

If you've bought $200+ jeans and designer bags in the past but now can't afford them, don't give up on shopping. You can find great items at a price at mall-based and specialty store chains. For example, if you've been buying labels at a boutique, you may be surprised by how well budget stores interpret current trends for a very low price.

4. Accessories

The right accessories can transform your wardrobe and give you multiple looks, which saves money. Some accessories -- like a perfect bangle bracelet or a distinctive necklace -- can even work with most of your outfits, becoming your signature look and eliminating the need for a closetful of accessories.

5.Stretch Fabrics

The beauty of stretch fabrics? Stretch accommodates your body on fat or skinny days, so you don't have to buy black pants in three sizes. In the past stretch clothes got a bad rap (polyester!) but now the stretch is so subtle and comfy that you're the only one you know you're wearing it.

6.Washable fabrics

Women's dry cleaning costs more than men, and it's a huge drain on your wardrobe budget to send items repeatedly to the dry cleaners. Although some items -- like evening dresses and suits -- require professional dry cleanin

How to dress like a rocker

Step1- Vintage! If you weren't around in the days of Free Love, ask around to relatives/friends that were. They might have some classic concert tees tucked away in a closet. If that option comes up dry, hit up a local vintage shop or music store for tee's from the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin etc
Step2-Scarves and bandannas are great ways to accessorize your rock n roll look. You don't have to wear them on your head either, instead you can wrap around your wrist or use as a belt.
Step3-Sterling Silver. Classic rockstars aren't big on gold and diamonds, but silver hoops or chunky rings can really complete a rockstar look. You can find unique ones at boutique jewelry stores and flea markets.

Most of these items can be purchased at stores like Hot Topic. Which is an alternative clothing and assessory store. You can also locate novelty tees at stores like Spencers and The Buckle as well.
